German Embassy
To mark the occasion of the 25th anniversary of the fall of the Berlin Wall I was invited by the German Embassy in London to paint the outside of the Embassy in Belgrave Square. During the Cold War there were two German Embassies in London, one for West Germany and one for East Germany. Both of these were in Belgrave Square. After the reunification of Germany there main German Embassy was moved into one building on Belgrave Square. As part of this project I also painted the inside of the former East German Embassy in Belgrave Square. Such a crazy situation that I never thought would be possible while I was painting the Berlin Wall in the 1980s.
